$160,000 in College Scholarships to be Awarded


Conway, AR -(AmmoLand.com)- The second annual Arkansas S3DA 2015-16 Championship will be held at the ABA (Arkansas Bowhunters Association) home range at Camp Robinson Special Use Area facility at 331 Clinton Road; Conway, AR 72032 on Saturday August 27th.
Dwayne Spangler the S3DA Arkansas State Coordinator is excited to bring together the Scholastic 3-D Archery Association, ABA, TBA (Traditional Bowhunters Association of Arkansas) and Arkansas Game and Fish to provide this unique opportunity for Arkansas youth between 3rd grade and 12th grade to compete in 3-D archery. A big bonus is that High School S3DA members are eligible to compete for 8 $20,000 ($5,000 for 4 years) scholarships awarded by Bethel University in McKenzie, TN.
All students wishing to compete must be current S3DA members. If your non-member child wishes to participate, one can join S3DA the day of the event, but you should arrive at least an hour early to register.
There will be two Shotgun starts at 9 AM and 2 PM. All children will shoot two 20 3-D target rounds on Saturday. A shoot-down round will be held following the finish of the second round to determine final placement and scholarship awards. Concessions and comfort facilities will be available on site. Camping is also available on site beginning Friday August 26th.
